A series of my struggle.
Having little to no technical background — except for being an expert in Google searching (which I don’t think is technical at all) I decided to dare myself by studying Computer Science. Of course, I could have majored in the most common and usual field that anyone would think of — English Literature because I’m a writer and I love poetry, but honestly, I couldn’t see myself writing for the rest of my life.
I mean — writing is important for the rest of your life, but I couldn’t see myself earning enough or being happy enough with just writing. I wanted some kind of a challenge, I wanted something that has to do more with real-world problems. Thus, I ended up applying for a University with my major in CS.
So, fast-forward to nine months now, I’m close to finishing a year already in my University and when I look back, my mind is in awe as to how much I have learned (even though I don’t remember anything at all :P). But I’m just proud of myself for not giving p and for keeping up with this challenge even though it was a lot of struggle for me.
